Better (extremely) late than never, here's an almost two years overdue update to the Big Boob Pass Network.
As I had hoped this is still a great package for lovers of big boobs, with a much increased volume size (the content, not the boobs) and other improvements since my original review.

So, 2010? What's going to happen here at Mike's Porn Site Reviews in its fifth year? Well, to tell you the truth I'm not entirely sure yet.
Personal matters (first and foremost a pesky neurological disorder) will unfortunately almost certainly continue to make it difficult for me to dedicate more than a very modest amount of hours a month to keeping this site updated, but since I've already reviewed - and updated, and reupdated - some of the arguably absolute best sites in quite a few niches (most notably probably lesbian, masturbation, anal, downloadable DVDs, plus the somewhat broader site networks category), my main focus will be to ensure that the reviews of those highest ranked sites are kept up to date with reasonably current information and any relevant comments (one or two updates a year, more in cases where I feel there's reason to do so), so you will also here in 2010 know whether or not site X, Y or Z remain fantastic choices.
Second to review updates will be new reviews. I like to be thorough (as you may have noticed, even my "quick reviews" - which has been my default format for a while as the pros/cons format is quite useful - tend to be rather lengthy), so writing new ones is usually a fairly time consuming process, meaning I can't promise many of them.
But in terms of site reviews I'm always keeping my eyes open for sites - new or old - that could potentially give the best I've reviewed in their respective niches, a run for their money.
Since I launched Mike's Porn Site Reviews back in December 2005 I've been a member of numerous sites I chose not to review, in most cases because, while often perfectly decent, there were nevertheless simply much better competing sites I had already reviewed.
And my experience with new sites in particular has almost universally been that they just can't compete with the old giants (those that haven't grown too old and stale of course).
A couple of years ago some of the newcomers in various niches had the advantage of higher video quality or more modern and userfriendly site interfaces, but in quite a few very notable cases the aforementioned old giants have caught up in those areas with HD video and member area redesigns, and since they already had a huge advantage in terms of content volume (and great content and model selection in general), they pretty much always provide by far the best bang for your buck.
Moving on - I'll almost certainly also add new DVD reviews whenever I can manage them.
I still watch a rather substantial amount of porn most weeks - DVD downloads or otherwise - so I'll try to get a review done whenever I've watched a DVD I really felt stood out among the rest, which means that I will now probably only bother with those that are bound to get a score of 90 or higher (which has mostly been the case already anyway).
I'm not quite sure what to do with the blog. My web site traffic statistics show that neither most of the regular blog posts nor the pornstar profiles get all that much attention compared to site reviews and to a lesser extent DVD reviews, but I think I'll at least keep doing the "recommend videos" type posts for various sites, that I started a couple of months ago.
And of course I'll use it when I happen to have something else to say that's better suited for the blog than this news section.
So there you have them, the tentative 2010 plans for Mike's Porn Site Reviews. This might not be the biggest review site, but I'll continue to do my best to make sure that it remains one of the most thorough and current, and one that presents the best choices in most of the major categories (and where that has proven impossible - mostly because my own interest in the niche has been lacking - it has typically been noted in category descriptions or recent review updates, such as with the amateur category).

 Is it that time of the year already? Alright, merry Christmas and happy New Year it is then.
There's a small chance I might have time between Christmas and New Year to write a blog post or update a review or whatever else I can think of (unfortunately I've been so busy this month that a few review updates is all it has amounted to so far), but otherwise I will of course be back in 2010 - which will be the fifth year for Mike's Porn Site Reviews.
I plan on making one of my first tasks in early January, an update of the Big Boob Pass network. I've been meaning to do that for months, but somehow I always ended up doing something else instead.

I've finished a review of Eve Angel Official, the new official site (well I guess that one was sort of a given) of one of my absolute favourite Hungarian babes (and just babes in general for that matter).
It's run by DDF Productions (known for 1 By Day, Hands on Hardcore and several other sites) so expect great solo and lesbian glamour style porn in HD quality.

My favourite site network, the 21Sextury Network, has just officially launched the new completely redesigned, unified member area I've been talking about in review updates and on the blog for the last month.
It can be accessed from a new network hub site (the old member areas remain up for the time being if you log in to the individual sites instead).
Links to the hub site and a whole lot of other details - effectively turning today's review update into a self contained updated review of the network, as so much has changed and improved in just a year - can be found in the main network review.
A score increase brought on by the powerful new interface also means that the 21Sextury Network becomes my second site review to receive a 100/100 score - and if it wasn't because the several times before admitted flaws in my rating scale meant that I decided to "artificially" keep down a few numbers, no fewer than three of the indiviudal sites in the network would also have been boosted to 100 scores today (as it is I chose to keep them at 97).
If, like me, you have a thing for gorgeous Eastern European girls, then you're making a huge mistake if you don't check out this site network. I'm dead serious.

I didn't have a lot of free time on my hands in October, so it was a bit of a slow month here at Mike's Porn Site Reviews with one new porn site review, a DVD review (got another one almost finished, but I won't have time to add it until tomorrow or Monday), a pornstar profile, four review updates (counting the Gang Bang 5 DVD review and the two 21Sextury Network updates) and a handful of blog posts.

A new porn site review is up. Club Sapphic features a pretty different type of models compared to the usual Eurobabes from my favourite lesbian sites, and that might make it worth a look. Overall though, Club Sapphic falls short of said sites in most other areas, most notably content volume. I still felt it was good enough for a respectable 88/100 score however.

I don't usually update DVD reviews, after all, unlike porn sites they're sort of a rather fixed entity. Well, unless you happen to have missed half the movie because it was split into two parts, which is what happened with Gang Bang 5 when I reviewed it over two years ago.
I did mention it later in a brief update of the review, but since the movie is now also available at both VideoBox and VideosZ (the latter just added it today) as opposed to just the pay-per-view site AEBN, I figured now was the time to not only add the extra movie links but also upgrade the score to take into account the part I originally missed.
If you're a Sasha Grey (or Naomi) fan you might very well find this one worth a look. It features one of only a handful of existing Sasha Grey double penetration scenes, and I think this is the only one of them that's a full on gangbang. And that scene alone is an hour long no less.

As you might have noticed if you've been here before, Mike's Porn Site Reviews just got a bit darker. Not in a depressing emotional sort of way - just some color changes to the main content areas.
Personally I tend to favor good old fashioned black text on a white background, but after doing a bit of research on color schemes and readability on web sites, I decided to try light text on a dark background. Going as far as white on black wasn't an option I considered, as that much contrast kills my own eyes in minutes, but I feel like I found a good compromise with the light gray text on a darker gray background.
Also it looks cooler than the old colors - and obviously the value of cool should never be underestimated. I think.
If you hate it and think it wrecks havoc on readability (much like the aforementioned white on black does for me), I encourage you to visit the contact page and send me some hate mail.

ZTOD/Third Movies/Black Ice Pass and VideosZ have short Flash player samples available for their recent movies, so I've gone back and added those to the relevant DVD reviews, and will of course also be doing that with future reviews where possible.

Additionally I've given some thought to start using the blog more frequently for sample material from various sites, but considering this is a review site that's supposed to be relatively objective (well, objective as in presenting my own honest opinion of the sites and movies in question of course), I would like to be a bit careful in my selection of sample content.
One obvious thing to do would of course be to choose photos/videos from the highest rated sites in the most popular niches, but they don't all offer equally useful free sample material (and some none at all), and obviously I can't just start picking out content from the member areas unless my idea of fun includes getting slapped over the head with copyright lawsuits (and as you might expect, it doesn't).
I can probably get away with picking out a select few photos here and there, just as I'm already doing for DVD screenshots etc., but as I rarely have active memberships to more than 6-8 sites at once (what?! You don't have a porn budget of a few hundred Dollars a month? I thought that was normal?), that also represents some potential problems.
Anyway, if I do decide to take this approach (not the blatant content stealing one) I'll likely just have to settle for mostly using those sites that do offer useful sample pics/videos. And good free video samples in particular are a bit of a rarity with a number of my favourite sites.

Here it is, porn site review number 200 - finally. The very new site Teen Models turned out to be even more impressive than I had expected, so much that I suddenly found myself hammering away on the keyboard in a burst of inspiration a couple of hours ago, even though I hadn't actually planned to write the review until later this week (I sort of felt I had already done my duty for today with the new DVD review I added earlier).
Gorgeous Eastern European babes - my favourite porn dish - frequent content updates, 1080p HD video downloads, the sharpest Flash player videos I've ever seen, if you decide to stream rather than download, 3000x2000 pixel photos, a great site interface. Oh, and lots of hot and occasionally fairly extreme girl/girl and solo sex of course - plus more than 1,800 3rd party downloadable bonus hardcore videos in 720p HD.
I would say Teen Models most certainly turned out to be a site worthy of being number 200 here at Mike's Porn Site Reviews.

DDF Productions is celebrating their ten year anniversary, and they are doing that by offering site network access here in August.
When you join one of the three DDF sites I've reviewed here at Mike's Porn Site Reviews - 1 By Day, Hands on Hardcore and DDF Busty - you also get access to the two others plus seven more (I may review some of these other sites at a later date, but the three I've covered so far are the largest DDF sites, although the others certainly have a fair amount of great content as well).

Next up, after a few more pornstar profiles and possibly a DVD review or two, is... ta-da!... porn site review number 200. Well, 205 or 206 actually, but I've had to remove a few along the way for various reasons.
I better try to find a decent site to review for the occasion.
Oh, and I hate social networking sites, so I think I might start using my blog for other things than just pornstar profiles again instead.

I've always scoffed at the immense popularity of social networking sites these days, but I've finally caved in and just set up a Twitter account.
While my limited work schedule - which can be blamed more on a medical condition than actual time factors - mean that I only get a limited number of site and DVD reviews, plus the new pornstar profiles, done each month, few days go by where I don't go hunting for porn on my various favourite sites, or seek out new potentially interesting ones.
When I stumble across a particularly great video or a girl I haven't noticed before it would often be nice to have a place to point them out to you guys, but even the blog here at MPSR doesn't really seem suitable for those very brief, random comments.
It looks like Twitter could serve that purpose quite well - although with their 140 character limit per update I'll definitely need to line the fine art of getting to the point. Just these few paragraphs amounted to around a thousand characters, and I sort of thought I was keeping it short here.

There, done! Let's hope I didn't screw anything up. If you're curious what I'm talking about it's the task of updating the scores for six sites at once - the main 21Sextury Network review and most of the reviewed sites within it, to reflect their upgrade to HD video quality around a year ago.
Usually I'm quite happy I went for the cheap option when I launched this review site and didn't pay several thousand Dollars for a fancy custom coded, database driven system to run the site off and just made my own simple template system instead, but on those rare occasions where I have to update 15-20+ files at once manually (reviews, category pages, sidebar files and others), I do sort of miss said fancy, expensive system. I better double check later that I didn't mess up any numbers or the order of reviews on any category pages, but right now I think it's time for breakfast - and the last couple of hours of Le Mans.
