Welcome to the latest addition to Mike’s Porn Site Reviews, the blog.
If you’ve visited MPSR before within recent months you may have noticed the message in the news section on the front page, explaining the slowdown in review pace that started around a year ago and really hasn’t changed much since.
Well, I still don’t have the time to get back to the original 10-15 new reviews a month I added in 2006, but my schedule has freed up a bit. Rather than trying to use that time to up the review pace again - the reasons for which will be the topic of my next post - I’ll try to improve and expand the site in other ways.
First, I’m putting in an effort to make sure all the highest rated (or otherwise interesting) reviews are regularly updated with not only current numbers, but also additional comments and opinions on changes or just the basic content progression.
Second, I’ve regularly contemplated adding additional sections to the site, the first of which was DVD reviews back in the spring last year - something I quickly decided not to continue (partly due to my time constraints), but it’s a section I might start working on again this year.
Another feature I’ve considered has been some sort of pornstar list or profile section, but I wasn’t quite sure how to implement it. Obviously it’s also something I would have little hope of ever building into an extensive and comprehensive list. There are quite a lot of pornstars out there afterall, and while I could find out which DVD movies they’ve appeared in, tracking down their performances on porn sites would in most cases be damn near impossible.
So for something like this to work it would probably be best to choose a more informal style based on eg. personal favourites or hot new names.
And that’s where this blog comes in - a format that’s well suited for something like that. So expect pornstar profiles here, not hundreds of them and not detailed and accurate down to birth mark and piercing information and ten minute performances on obscure porn sites few have ever heard of. But information that might point you in the direction of notable pornbabes and entertaining porn.
Now, setting up a blog on a review site just for informal pornstar profiles seems a bit like overkill, but fortunately the format is also just what I need for comments and observations on assorted porn and review related topics, so expect to see occasional random ramblings on more or less interesting subjects.
So once again, welcome to the new blog.
