Pay Per View
As pay per view sites opt for a different payment model than most other porn sites, I have a few things to say about the topic that will make this introduction a bit longer than the case is with the other review categories.
I've always been pretty skeptical towards pay per view sites, figuring that you would easily end up paying a lot more for hardcore DVD content than what you do at sites like VideoBox and VideosZ that only charges for a regular monthly membership (not to mention that in the case of VideoBox you can actually keep everything you download - VideosZ switched to DRM protection last year though).
Well, for serious porn fans watching more than 10 minutes here and 20 there, those reservations turn out to be pretty spot on, but after quite a few hours of experience with two pay per view sites over the last couple of months I've nevertheless concluded that this type of site could still very well be interesting both for those only watching a few hours of porn a month as well as for us that regularly watch a good deal more.
The former group can avoid a monthly membership and only pay for what they watch (although admittedly, with some of the competive offers mentioned above, pay per view may not necessarily be a whole lot cheaper even with very modest use - if at all).
The second group (and the first one as well) will find that the largest pay per view sites offer a collection of thousands of DVDs from hundreds of porn studios, and quite often you can find damn near every single movie your favourite porn stars have appeared in - well, close anyway, afterall it's not uncommon for some experienced girls in the business to have starred in well over a hundred movies.
This is something VideoBox and co. aren't quite large enough to pull off just yet.
