About Quick Reviews

Quick review is now the default review format - the regular reviews without the pro/con layout will be reserved for sites where I feel I have an unusually lot to say.

Taking effect from today I have made a slight change to the format of quick reviews. A summary text shouldn't really be needed for a simple pro/con list, and I was additionally starting to get close to repeating damn near the whole list in the summary. I think that pretty much qualifies as a waste of both time and space, so summaries are now used for full reviews only, where they actually serve a purpose.

As the name suggests, Mike's Porn Site Reviews is a one man operation and as such, trying to squeeze three, four or five full reviews into a single day would almost certainly mean a few too many corners would be cut during the writing process and the chances of a site not getting a fair review increase.
Obviously that is not the route I want to take, but on the other hand I also want this site to grow into a comprehensive guide that eventually covers a significant part of what the x-rated side of the Internet has to offer - at least the best of it.
The quick reviews allow me to complete a review faster by replacing the full text with a simple pros/cons list that provides a quick but still reasonably comprehensive overview of a site.
A quick review does not mean that I do not consider the site interesting enough for a full review - it is simply a way of saving some time in order to provide a rapidly growing review archive.
I also spend as much time looking at and testing the quick review sites as I do with those that get the full treatment - only the writing process is cut short.
Regularly quick reviews will be used when reviewing a large number of sites from one company - for instance individual sites that are part of a site network. One or a few sites from one company or with no connections to each other will generally get regular reviews.
