Just a few extra months of growth has done wonders for the Evil Angel network. As mentioned in the cons below, with a few exceptions, most of the sites - including Lesbian Fanatics - were very small when I did the original review in February.
They certainly still have some way to go before I will call them large, but an increase from 26 to 38 videos for Lesbian Fanatics, and something similar for many of the others certainly does make a difference.
There will no doubt be a few extra points waiting for the Content Quantity score when I do a full second look later this year.
Pros & Highlights
+ Lesbian Fanatics is part of a fairly large hardcore video network with a total of around a thousand scenes from DVDs from Evil Angel.
I've chosen to review a few of the network sites and since only the content and themes really differ between them, I decided it was once again the perfect time for me to be lazy and use a shortcut, ie. heavy use of the copy/paste function.
Lesbian Fanatics is among the several rather small sites in the network, with only 26 videos at the time of writing. As such it's not anywhere close to being a match for the usually rather huge lesbian sites I tend to review, in terms of volume, but the reason I picked it out among the 19 sites in the Evil Angel network anyway, is that it's based on a few of hardcore superstar Belladonna's rather interesting and rather extreme girl/girl DVD series, "Evil Pink", "Fucking Girls", "No Warning" etc.
There's plenty of rough lesbian sex here, sexy outfits, huge toys shoved into gaping assholes and pussies, and you even get Belladonna pregnant and lactating in a few scenes. Unlike some of the more anonymous Eurohotties on several of the other Evil Angel sites, Belladonna is teaming up with several other well known hardcore girls here, including Roxy Jezel, Sandra Romain, Venus, Tory Lane, Lauren Phoenix, Jayna Oso and the always amazing Haley Paige, who unfortunately passed away last year.
+ Evil Angel is a major porn studio with a load of well known and very hot pornstars on the payroll. They are also home to, or at least collaborate with at least one male performer who should be familiar to most hardcore fans, Rocco Siffredi (his official site, though also run by Evil Angel, unfortunately isn't included in this network. Here's a direct link if you're interested in checking it out though, currently 240+ videos plus access to one other site). And I imagine the name John Stagliano (Buttman) might ring a bell as well (according to the info I could find he actually owns Evil Angel).
Aside from a fair number of their movies (Buttman's site is the largest in the network), Evil Angel generally has an extremely impressive lineup of movie series, very often featuring lots of intense and rough throat fucking, anal and/or double penetration and other gangbang or group action, and occasionally various light fetish and domination aspects. You even get some extreme girl/girl action, led by anal queen Belladonna.
+ Joining one site gives you full access to 18 other Evil Angel sites, covering a variety of hardcore niches and subniches, with both recent and older (late 90s, early 00s) content. Each site can be easily and quickly accessed from any other, though because of the lack of a single main "hub" site, I've skipped the usual main review I otherwise do of site networks. It essentially works the same way though.
+ Pretty good video quality, 640x480, 1000 kbit, which would have been worth a 20/20 quality score from me about a year ago (though only around an 18 now).
+ Usually a new video added every week (though they missed a few updates here and there last year), and the same applies to most, though not all, the other sites in the network.
+ If I had done a main network review, the Evil Angel network, like the case has been with several others, would no doubt have gotten a higher overall score than these invidual sites. Sum of the parts and value for money and all that (and I am also taking the entire network into account in the value for money scores in these reviews). I did a tentative calculation and ended up with an overall score somewhere around 88-90.
Overall this is a great network with some of the hottest hardcore porn and pornstars (and hardcore amateur girls) you can find. There are a few, in my opinion, very valid cons below, but they aren't in any way major issues.
+ The monthly membership price is around five bucks above the typical $30, but there's a surprisingly hefty discount on the three months membership.
Cons
- Most of the individual sites in the network aren't particularly large at this time, with typically only around 20-25 videos, or even less in a few cases. Four sites feature between 50 and 200+ videos though, so the network as a whole should keep you entertained for quite a while, and of course there are roughly 15 new videos to looks forward to every week.
- While the site (and network) interface does have a few features to make your life a bit easier, the overall word I would choose to describe it with would probably be "clunky", or if I had to pick one that sounds a bit more positive, "functional".
It gets the job done, if not always as efficiently as you could hope for, but I had expected more from the official sites of a major studio, especially since the sites have supposedly been "completely revamped" very recently. Compared to the Zero Tolerance and 3rd Degree Films studio sites, made in collaberation with the VideosZ guys, the Evil Angel network design looks and behaves positively archaic. Similar comparisons, with the same outcome, could be made to multi-studio DVD download sites like VideoBox (and VideosZ), or the huge pay-per-view site AEBN, where you can actually find more than 800 Evil Angel DVDs, though the nature of pay-per-view porn makes the official network at hand a significantly better value for money deal in terms of the actual video content.
