1 By Day is a staggeringly huge site featuring a mix of solo girl, lesbian and hardcore guy/girl video and photo content (with an emphasis on the first category).
The site has been running since 2001 and in mid 2007 it got a fairly major overhaul that effectively split the site into two separate sections - the old archives and the new "1 By Day & 1 By Night" part where you now get two daily updates, full 720p HD video quality and a slightly improved site interface.
This is an absolutely fantastic site and well worth a look for anyone who enjoys gorgeous babes, whether they go at it solo, together or get their pussies or asses fucked by real cocks.

Update, November 9 2009
The DDF network (more details in the September 1 update below) now has a unified member area. You will need to log in through the DDF Prod site (direct site link) to access it, as the old member areas have been retained if you choose to log in from one of the individual network sites (links to them can also be found within the new member area).
The new unified member area looks pretty good and it's nice to have access to everything from a single interface - although, aside from a model archive of course, it doesn't quite have the same powerful content search and filtering options you find in something like the BrainPass network or the upcoming redesign of the 21Sextury Network member area.
But needless to say, site design and features always take a secondary place to the actual content, and the DDF sites are still about as good as ever in that department.

Update, September 1 2009
The site network access offer that started in August as a celebration of the ten year anniversay of DDF Productions will continue.

Time for another look at 1 By Day I think - I've actually had my current recurring membership for close to a year now if I recall correctly, so I guess any day is as good as the next.
Like in my very recent update of the Hands on Hardcore hardcore review - one of the other very large sites from the same people - this is also going to be a bit of a mix of good and somewhat bad news.
Let's start with the bad stuff this time. Starting at the beginning of this month the update pace has been down at 1 By Day. But since that's down from two to one new video and photoset each and every day (well, six days a week, one day is just a behind the scenes "jokes" photoset), using the word "bad" might be a bit of an exaggeration. And considering the vast amounts of content available on the site, even if the updates had slowed down to an almost non-existent crawl, first time members will obviously find enough content at 1 By Day to keep them entertained for an ungodly number of hours.
And since the updates haven't actually slowed down that much, there's a very good chance old members could potentially be interested in returning. A look at the preview pics on the site tour pages for every single update since Summer 2007 might help you make that decision.
And speaking of tour pages, 1 By Day recently received a fairly minor design overhaul - on both the tour and in the member areas - and frankly I'm not entirely sure I see the point. If anything I feel the new interface might actually be ever so slightly clunkier than the old one (and there's a chance I might have been a bit too generous with that 9/10 in the Navigation & Design score in the first place, an 8 might be more appropriate).
And onto the good stuff. Well, I've already sort of woven that into the section about content updates above. 1 By Day is still a huge site with a ton of hot, exclusive solo, lesbian and b/g content.
Oh, and one last change that may or may not interest you - for several months now they've done a weekly content trade with another one of my favourite sites, ALS Scan. Every Saturday 1 By Day adds a video and photoset from ALS Scan and vice versa.

I rejoined 1 By Day half an hour ago (and I got suckered into a one year membership by those damn discounts, which somehow managed to make €129.95 seem positively cheap when I was trying to decide whether to go for three or five months), and rummaging around the old archives I just noticed that I actually made a mistake in my original review.
I wrote that "... you don't get HD video quality in the archives. The 2006 and early 2007 videos look pretty good...", but as a matter of fact HD was introduced to some parts of the content already around mid 2006. More specifically it seems to apply to the hardcore guy/girl content, which is probably because this is at least partially shared with their other site Hands on Hardcore, where 720p HD video was put to use already in late 2005.
For the majority of the 1 By Day content though - solo and lesbian - it looks like my original observation was right, with HD video starting with the new site section in July 2007.
2nd look, May 10 2008
I was really just planning on updating the numbers in the info boxes above today, but I figured I might as well throw in a few comments here as well.
During my original review six months ago, the new section of the site - launched in mid 2007 - was already very large with over 350 videos and photosets. When you get two updates a day, things happen fast though, and at the time of writing, the new 1by-day & 1by-night section now holds a whopping 662 videos and photosets, with both many new and old popular models.
Since my original review they have also started mixing the new 720p HD content with remastered content from the old archives on the site - which means you usually get a brand new HD set as the first update every day, with old popular videos rereleased at night at something more or less equivalent to DVD quality (704x528, 2500 kbit).
So yes, currently around 150 or so of those 662 sets aren't actually new, but it's still great to see eg. 2002-2005 movies with girls like Sophie Moone, Monica Sweetheart, Tiffany Diamond, Eve Angel and many others, rereleased in much higher quality than what you can find them in in the old 1 By Day archives.
So basically, still an absolutely amazing site. But I guess you sort of got that already from the 99 score?

It's not exactly like there's a shortage of great "babe sites" out there, but since 1 By Day is among the largest and most impressive of the kind - and additionally mixes plenty of lesbian and hardcore guy/girl action with the solo babe fun - it's probably about time I got around to doing this review.
It certainly doesn't hurt either that the site got a fairly major change of structure, layout and technical quality in July this year that made it even better.
And to start off with an elaboration of that last part - 1 By Day can almost be considered a two in one site now.
There's the new section that features a new interface, higher technical quality on the content (full 720p HD video) and two rather than one daily update (which is also why this part of the site is labeled "1by-day & 1by-night").
With the speedy updates and a full video and photoset with each of them, this new section is already very large with more than 350 videos and photosets.
Once you hit the "Archives" button you will be taken into an even larger (much larger) collection of videos and photosets, dating all the way back to 2001.
There is some overlapping between the various content categories, and the number on the tour page is surely an inflated one that includes all or some of the partial video files in the archives, but if we assume one daily update (unlike two in the new section) for six and half years, that should give us something around 2.370 videos and photosets and the 2001-mid 2007 archives.
So overall - 1 By Day is pretty fuckin' huge.

Before I move on to talking about the actual content, I'll just bring up a few more points about this separation of the site into the new section and "archives".
The first and obvious one is that you don't get HD video quality in the archives. The 2006 and early 2007 videos look pretty good (and so do the photosets), but as you would expect, the quality then gets progressively worse as you move back towards 2001. No surprises there, and even the oldest videos are certainly still watchable, if perhaps not quite in full screen mode on your fancy modern high resolution monitor.
The second thing is that you could argue that there's perhaps a bit too much separation between the two sections - or at least you have to be prepared for it, otherwise you might start wondering where the hell all the hot models and content are if you haven't checked out the archives yet.
That's because the the model archives and content category lists (lesbian, solo, hardcore etc.) are also separate between the two sections.
Perhaps a smart enough move in the long run, but just something to be aware of for new members.
And while we are on the site design/interface, I'll add about the only slightly negative thing I can find to say about this site. It feels a little bit clunky.
The navigation features and overall layout are fine, but it seems like the interface elements like buttons etc. are a bit slow loading and will additionally reload or load "roll over" effects when it doesn't seem necessary. I noticed it in both Opera and Internet Explorer.
Mind you, this is obviously a very minor issue, but it was something that I instantly noticed (and still do).
Well, moving on to the actual content.
Solo girl videos and photosets is the main focus at 1 By Day, both in the new and old sections. It ranges from softcore stripping to masturbation with fingers or toys.
You also get a lesbian and a hardcore guy/girl update once, occasionally twice a week, and while that may not sound like much compared to the solo content, with a site of this size we're obviously still talking about hundreds of girl/girl and guy/girl videos and photosets.
And whether you prefer solo babes, lesbian sex, straight up cock in pussy guy/girl sex, anal or double penetration (including the occasional full gangbang), it's pretty much all hot as hell and really well done - thanks in no small part to all the gorgeous babes on the site.
Supposedly there are more than 900 girls on the site (nope, I didn't bother counting) - many of them repeat visitors over the years. While they aren't all stunningly beautiful, many of them certainly are, and you will find a load of popular babes, particularly (but not solely) of my favourite kind, the Eastern European ones, including - to name a few - Silvia Saint, Sandra Shine, Sophie Moone, Mia Stone, Monica Sweetheart, Monica Sweet (Jo), Jana Cova, Angel Dark, Anetta Keys, Evelyn Lory and hundreds others.
And a personal non-Eastern European favourite, five 2007 videos (and photosets) with Aria Giovanni - and two more at DDF Busty (update, July 19 2008: the original outgoing link has now been replaced with the new review link. Additionally DDF Busty now has eight Aria videos/photosets and 1 By Day has, if I recall correctly, six or seven of them).
Ultra softcore it may be (but the two shower videos in particular are still seriously hot), but Aria fans know that unlike the hundreds of fantastic photoshoots she has done over the years, decent video content with this babe is so scarce, even on her own official site (and the otherwise fairly impressive Aria collection at Danni.com is for the most part several years old), that those five 12-16 minutes videos alone might very easily be worth the 1 By Day membership price for some of us.
A few other nice treats in the 1 By Day archives that might interest some are some of the rare hardcore guy/girl videos and photosets from around 2002/03 with girls like Sophie Moone and Eve Angel, who have only been working solo and with other girls since around that time, and in general - whether it's solo, lesbian or guy/girl - it's quite interesting to see how some of these popular babes have changed over the last five years or so.
Personally I got confirmed what I already knew - that I think most of them look more beautiful for each year that passes, though seeing them at age 18-22 or so is certainly worth the time.
Another girl worth mentioning in that regard, is Hungarian babe Sandy. There are quite a lot of solo and lesbian scenes with her here from the days when she was still pretty new in this business and hadn't yet started her own Eurobabe megasite Club Sandy.
Well, looks like we've already got yet another very long review on our hands here, so I better wrap it up. I've already touched upon the technical quality of the content - and you can find the details in the info boxes near the top - so let's end this by saying that, not surpringly at this point I imagine, 1 By Day (& 1 By Night) is a truly amazing and incredibly large site, with a whole lot of hot babes enjoying themselves, each other and the occasional large cock (or several).
While I debated if the interface "clunkiness" ought to bring down the design/navigation score by another point, I didn't really feel it was justified as it's otherwise quite good and featureful, so - for now at least - 1 By Day ends up with the second highest score I've ever handed out.
