Review Scraps - brief notes, comments and opinions on porn sites and videos I stumble across
Since my schedule these days only allows for the very occasional new review, plus a couple of review updates every month, I've created this section in October 2011 for much briefer observations on porn that happens to catch my attention when I'm browsing the web.
In cases where I've had a membership to a site I'm commenting on (which I probably will have had in many or most cases), the notes will be prefaced with a [member]. If I've previously reviewed the site I'm commenting on you will of course also find a link to said review.

October 31 2011:

Once again I got an urge to check out all the new videos they've added to Fuckingmachines since my last membership ran out around March.
As always this remains a unique site for those who enjoy watching girls getting good and properly FUCKED by dildos, at speeds and depths unlike anything you're likely to see in even extreme regular solo or lesbian toy scenes.
As usual from Fuckingmachines all the latest updates include anything from girls sticking to vaginal sex only (although some of them, such as Lexi Belle or Jenna Presley, certainly aren't afraid to try out the very large toys) to the most extreme anal, double penetration and even double and triple(!) anal experiements (Amy Brooke did a few TP scenes earlier this year, and another in some of the recent material, and many other girls have taken on those large machine mounted dildos in slightly, only slightly, less extreme anal/DP videos).
My last review update of Fuckingmachines was a year ago, so I guess I might as well do another update this month, even if it just means copying over this text and updating the content info on the review page.

I hadn't actually spent any significant amount of time looking through the HD section of VideoBox until the last few days. As a DVD download site VB was naturally quite late to the HD party (most multi-studio DVD sites don't have HD downloads at all yet), but since Spring this year the collection of DVDs available in 720p HD has grown to a pretty respectable 236 (plus several hundred extra individual HD scenes from two of the optional premium channels).
A few too many of the early ones were movies that really were rather pointless in a sharper HD quality - low lighting or annoying "artistic" blur filters - but now there are many HD titles in the archives well worth checking out.

Eufrat - one of my favourite models, and in terms of raw beauty among models in the adult business, pretty much only second to Eve Angel in my eyes - is this month's "Twistys Treat".

I reviewed Wicked Pictures three weeks ago, and while I did mention in the review that much of the content just doesn't happen to fit my personal taste in porn, I decided earlier tonight to take a look at one of their big budget feature movies from this year, a "genre" of movies I haven't really paid much attention to before - which is hardly surprising given that only a select few studios actually invest that much money in individual movies.
This one from Wicked is called Horizon and in between the sex, there's time for a sci-fi story set in 2097 with human survivors fighting off an alien invasion. You know, typical run off the mill sci-fi scenario, but with a minor plot twist at the end. There are dark military installations, uniforms, weapons fire, explosions and, for a porn budget, fancy CGI effects.
I didn't watch all two hours and 19 minutes of Horizon from start to finish (I caught most of the story parts though, but skipped through several of the sex scenes, 4 b/g, 2 g/g, fairly quickly), and I still found most of the sex I watched a little too stylished for my taste, but the movie as a whole certainly made for an experience quite unlike what I'm used to from porn.
The female cast of Horizon consists of Misty Stone, Alektra Blue, Kimberly Kane, Kaylani Lei, Bobbi Starr, Jessica Drake and Aiden Starr. The movie can be downloaded in its entirety from the Wicked Pictures site (the 720p HD version weighs in at 2.7 GB) or as six individual segments/scenes.

My preferences in porn/erotic photography are quite different from my preferences in videos. With the latter I generally want sex (no-nonsense, straight to the point if it's boy/girl, usually slow, sensual and intimate if it's girl/girl) while I prefer a much more softcore artistic approach to photo content, which allows me to simply enjoy the beauty of the women and the skill of the photographer, rather than necessarily needing to be turned on as the case is when I watch porn videos.
I've only reviewed a few sites that generally takes such an artistic approach - MC Nudes being the most obvious - but I have been a member of a few others like that the last couple of years, most recently Hegre-Art.
Hegre-Art has some fantastic photo content, but one other reason I opted to join it over a few others I was also considering, was their unique massage section. Long, slow and sensual HD videos (50 of them so far) with full oil body massages, and in most cases also with plenty of attention paid by the massause to her "client's" pussy, bringing her to one or several strong orgasms.
There are also a handful of videos with guys getting massaged, but frankly I don't find it exciting to watch a man lie on his back for half an hour while a woman slowly massages him. Most of the girl/girl massages I've watched so far have been really hot and very unique though.

The very recently launched Orgasms.xxx has been a little bit of a mixed bag so far.
It has had several truly great lesbian scenes with girls like Eufrat, Ariel (who has returned to girl/girl work again, and with quite a lot more enthusiasm and skill than in the past, after a few years of softcore nude modeling only), Blue Angel and Zuzana Z. But also a bunch of mediocre - if beautifully filmed - lesbian scenes that have paired up inexperienced models with other inexperienced models, rarely a recipe for success.
I personally have zero interest in the b/g content on Orgasms.xxx, but I've heard from a few other members that they really enjoy the intimate style.
I'll probably stick around for another couple of months and see if the average quality of the lesbian videos is hopefully raised a little. If any of my fellow Eufrat and Ariel fans should be reading this, don't hesitate to join even if it's pretty much just for their scenes (five with Eufrat, three with Ariel so far). Except for one suprisingly disappointing scene with Eufrat and Blue Angel, the rest are arguably the best both girls have ever done, certainly for Ariel.
