In the past I only chose to review site networks that had a main "hub" site (which admittedly seems to apply to most networks), but since I decided to bend that rule a bit a few months ago with my 21Sextury Network review, I figured I would do the same here with the Evil Angel network.
I actually reviewed three separate sites from the network a year ago, Lesbian Fanatics, Euro Angels and Ass Corruption (the last of them was since removed, although the content, and more along with it, has been reintroduced to the network with recent site additions), and I may do a couple of additional individiual site reviews over the next few weeks - although as the following text (where I'm also linking directly to a number of the network sites, so you can at least take a look at the tours if I don't get around to fitting those extra reviews into my limited schedule, which seems pretty likely) and the scores above suggest, this is a damn good network.
It owes most of that praise thanks to its content, as Evil Angel rarely disappoints (everything here is DVD content, Evil Angel don't license to the DVD download sites I typically recommend, but you can find a lot of it at pay-per-view sites like AEBN, although this network is a much better value for money deal), at least not if you're into hardcore and occasionally fairly extreme hardcore porn, often with anal/DP and group sex as major themes, although the network also dives into rough lesbian sex (mainly courtesy of hardcore star Belladonna and a nice lineup of other pornbabes who don't mind rough toy penetrations and assorted fetishes - from fancy outfits to squirting milk out of their asses while they are bent over a toilet bowl) and even adds a couple of shemale sites and another with women wearing strapons and men being on the receiving end, if you should happen to be into those sort of things (I'm not entirely sure I feel that any of those sites fit particularly well into a network with "regular" hardcore b/g and lesbian porn, but at least they are easy enough to avoid if you prefer that).
To return to the hardcore guy/girl content, which is featured on the majority of the now 30 network sites, I mentioned that anal and group sex are often in focus - which site names like Anal Centerfolds, Gaping Angels, Anal Acrobats, Cock Jugglers and Ass Fetish Zone (all direct site links, as are the following ones) confirm - but there are also a couple of excellent blowjob sites in the network, Face Fucking Inc. (very rough blowjobs and throat fucking) and POV Blowjobs, just like interracial and squirting are other niches catered for with a couple of sites.
The latest eleven site additions are those of the major male pornstars Evil Angel have in their stable - most notably perhaps Rocco Siffredi (a lot of the content on his site is what was dublicated on the now removed Ass Corruption, and since he has reportedly moved to a different company I guess there's a chance his site in this network could be removed as well, although you would sort of expect Evil Angel to own the rights to a lot of this content?), Nacho Vidal, Manuel Ferrara and Christoph Clark.
All these sites were previously in a separate network, but it's nice to see that all Evil Angel sites are now available in a single network (the site tours haven't yet been updated to reflect this merger though, neither have parts of the member area interface that lists the total number of sites as either 19 or 11 - and a total number of videos across those sites only - despite the drop down menu right next to the numbers with access to all 30 sites).
There's a load of really great hardcore videos on most of these sites, particularly Rocco's has a lot of spectacular anal and group sex scenes from his movies from the last ten years or more, but most of the other "director sites" certainly don't disappoint either.
The total number of videos across the 30 sites amounts to well over 2,500 at the time of writing, and while some sites are rarely updated anymore, you can usually expect somewhere between five and eight new videos to turn up every week in the network - so altogether you aren't likely to run out of content any time soon, particularly since most of it is top notch and thus well worth watching (although I'm sure there will of course be niches or models you don't care for).
With all the positive aspects covered, there are a couple of things that could have been better. First of all the site interfaces feel slightly clunky, and there are still some scenes that haven't been tagged with model info (if I recall correctly very few were at all a year ago, but that has fortunately mostly been corrected).
Forget about a central model directory as well (though that admittedly goes for many other site networks too) - but at least the search feature usually does a decent job, assuming the model you're looking for has had all her scenes correctly tagged, and without misspellings or under several different names.
Video quality could also have been better - 640x480, 1000-1500 kbit on the highest quality versions (several lower qualities are also available) is really no better than merely decent in 2008/09.
Since it's based on DVD content the resolution couldn't have gone higher than 720x480 (and a lot of the older stuff probably wasn't shot in widescreen, so 640x480 is the way to go), but the bitrate really ought to be 2000+ these days.
I do however very much approve of their decision to include streaming Flash as a video option (also with several qualities to choose from).
Overall I highly recommend the Evil Angel network if you're into their type of often fairly rough anal, group sex, double penetration, and other hardcore b/g and g/g content.
The lineup of models on most of the sites is mostly excellent, whether we're talking about well known pornstars like Belladonna, Jenna Haze, Katja Kassin, Bobbi Starr, Faith Leon, Dana DeArmond, Courtney Cummz, Brinna Love, Eva Angelina, Daniella Rush and many, many others, or beautiful, willing-to-do-it-all "first timers" Rocco has picked up on the streets of Praque or Moscow.
The network does have some flaws that prevents it from getting high scores across the board, but it most certainly delivers on the most important aspect - first rate content.
