Update, October 24 2007:
Fuckingmachines is among those sites where I regularly stop by to check all the recent updates on the extensive tour pages (you can see preview pics of all 400+ updates in fact, spread out over currently 29 pages).
It's been a while since I've actually had a membership to the site though (almost a year if I recall correctly), which means it was definately about time to join again and start downloading some of the many new videos and photosets.
And so I did around an hour ago (I even went for the six months membership), and while I obviously haven't had time to take more than a brief look at a handful videos, one fairly major change was quickly verified - another video quality boost.
Since February this year, videos now appear to be (based on my random samplings) available in a pretty good looking 854x480 widescreen format. The 925 kbit bitrate could do with a boost to around 1500 or more to make the videos a bit sharper, but even on my 22" widescreen monitor they still looked quite impressive.
Photo quality has also been improved significantly, and they now look great at around 800x1200 pixels.
Along with these technical improvements it looks like you will also find a lot of really hot new scenes and girls (I imagine I'll be busy downloading for the next several days to come), so if you like the unique and often very hardcore or even extreme style of toy porn provided by Fuckingmachines, the site has never been better than it is now.
I haven't updated any scores this time around, but you could easily argue for another point in quantity and the same for quality.

Looks like I jumped the gun a bit on that update. Now that I've downloaded some of the most recent videos it looks like the video quality the last couple of months has actually been even higher than the 854x480, 925 kbit from earlier this year - in fact it's now an excellent 960x540, 2000 kbit, meaning just about right between DVD and HD quality, and thus worthy of a place on the Technology Leaders page.
2nd look, June 8 2006:
When I wrote the orginal review six months ago, Fuckingmachines had only just started to do something about one of my main complaints (well, more or less my only complaint really) - improving the video quality.
Fuckingmachines is now 30 updates larger, meaning we're approaching a point where a reasonably decent part of the videos are in the much improved 640x480, 700 kbit quality (and that aside, several of the new additions are also among some of the hottest ever at Fuckingmachines in this reviewer's opinion).
I've added one point to the Quality score. The new quality on its own is worth a point or two more, but we are afterall still looking at a site where around 90% of the videos are in the less than impressive 320x240, 350 kbit format.
Another point has gone into the Quantity score. The toys/masturbation niches have some pretty huge and impressive sites (although the theme at Fuckingmachines is unique), which is why even a few hundred hours of video "only" lands Fuckingmachines a 19/20 score.
Finally I've added an extra point to the Value for Money score - and truth be told, I'm not quite sure why that one wasn't maxed out back when I wrote the original review. Fuckingmachines was huge already back then.

I was not quite sure what to expect when I joined Fuckingmachines for the first time about four months ago. I did not really know whether or not the concept of these weird machines doing the fucking as a substitute for a cock, the girl herself with a dildo or a lesbian couple with toys, would actually be a turnon or just good for a laugh.
Turns out I was in for a bit of both actually - but mostly it was just incredibly hot seeing all these beautiful babes getting all their holes pounded from every possible angle and at low, medium and ultra high speed.
The Fuckingmachines archives consist of currently 298 episodes or shoots/scenes with each including typically at least 150 photos and 20 to 50 minutes of video (usually more than half an hour) and a new scene added once a week - some weeks with an extra bonus scene.
Each episode stars a single girl (there are occasional lesbian scenes as well) and both a ton of naughty amateurs and well known babes and pornstars like Sarah Blake, Penny Flame, Sativa Rose, Justine Joli, Venus, Ava Devine and many others have stopped by one or several times over the last five years.
The stage of the scenes is often set in a bar, an office, a bathroom and other places where they can find a good excuse for putting the babe into a sexy outfit.
Regularly you will also find a bondage theme with the action taking place in a dungeon or a similar sinister location, and the girl tied up or even strapped into a hanging harness or turned upside down. The company behind Fuckingmachines has a number of bondage and domination sites as well (some of which I expect to review at a later date), so I guess that explains the cross over.
It is generally not taken to extremes where you need to be a real bondage fan to appreciate it though. I am not and I really like many of those episodes.
The core of the action is introducing the girl to an assortment of fuckingmachines (there is a special page dedicated to them - over 40 in total and with very memorable names) - and I think the term power tools (or toys) is more than appropriate for most of them.
Many of them are devilishly clever thought out machinery with powerful engines and some big, thick dildos strapped to the end of their metal arms.
Seeing a huge ten inch dildo relentlessly hammering into a soaking pussy or an asshole once the chick really gets the juices flowing and turns up the speed, is incredibly hot - and judging from the reactions from the girls themselves, a lot of the hundreds of orgasms at Fuckingmachines are a very far cry from being faked. Many of the girls are completely exhausted and have a big happy smile on their face when they do the short interview at the end of most of the videos.
I have been through a good part of the Fuckingmachines archives over my now two member periods, and so far I think my favourite fuckingmachine will have to be The Twinserter. The name says it all - two big dildos each at the end of its own metal arm, and each being driven tirelessly and deep into the pussy and ass of the poor girl, who usually has a lovely mixed impression on her face of intense pleasure and surprise and disbelief.
While I genuinely loved all the wonderful and very unique hardcore content at Fuckingmachines, the quality department is one that has been nagging me seriously.
While photos are in an acceptable resolution of around 500×800 and the photography fairly good, the video quality until the two latest updates does match up to what I expect from a an otherwise great porn site in 2005.
Starting with the two most recent updates, the people behind Fuckingmachines have finally started listening to the fairly frequent complaints and upped the video quality from a borderline unacceptable (actually, scratch the borderline part) 320x240 resolution at only 350 kbit to a much, much better 640x480, 700 kbit format.
Now I can finally enjoy their videos in full screen without horrible pixilation and blurriness.
The reason why Fuckingmachines is still only given a 16/20 score in Content Quality is because so far only those two latest out of the nearly 300 videos live up to current standards. I sincerely hope they are reconsidering going back and re-encoding all the old videos to the new improved version, but since that is not something that is done overnight I suspect it will be at least a few months - likely more before Fuckingmachines deserves the 18-19/20 score I imagine it will get when I eventually revisit it.
The quality issues aside, along with a design that could do with a makeover, Fuckingmachines is a very unique site with excellent and plentyful hardcore content that I will not hesitate for a second recommending to all lovers of toy/masturbation porn (in the hardcore to extreme, and slightly bizarre end of the scale).
I have seen a couple of machine sex sites pop up over the last year or so, but with content dating back five years and a ton of amazing girls, I think Fuckingmachines is several miles ahead of the pack.
